SOME WRITERS

Jennifer Bassett has worked in English Language Teaching since 1972. She has been a teacher, teacher trainer, editor, and materials writer, and has taught students from all over the world. She now lives in Devan in the south-west of England. The series Editor of the Oxford Bookworms Library for many years.
Jennifer Basset enjoys walking across the quiet Devan hill, swimming in tropical seas, and reading, writing, and thinking about stories.
Jennifer Basset wrote two stories we read in class. They are Mr Harris and the Nigth Train and Omega File 349.

Agatha Christie was born in 15th September in 1890 and was died on 12th January 1976. Agatha has been called by the Guinness book of world records. She also wrote romances, but is best remembered for her 80 detective novels and her successful west end theatre plays. Her first novel was The Mysterious Affair at Styles. Other were Murder on the Links, The secret of Chimneys, The Murder of Roger Ackroyl...

Agatha Christie was born on 15th September 1890 and she died on 12n January 1976.
She was an English crime writer of novels, plays and shorts stories, also she did romances.
The most famous books are: The Mysterious Affair at Styles, it was the first novel that she did and in it she introduced a famous detective, Hercule Poirot.

Arthur Conan Doyle was born on 22nd May in 1859, in Edinburgh, Scotland. From 1876 to 1881, he studied medicine at the University of Edinburgh.
Sir Arthur Ignatius Conan Doyle was a Scottish author most noted for his stories about the detective Sherlock Holmes, which are generally considered a major innovation in the field crime fiction, and for the adventures of professor challenge. He was a prolific writer whose other works include science fiction stories, historical novels, plays and romances, poetry and non-fiction.
