This story is about a group of young boys who want to hunt ducks just like their fathers. One of the boys borrows his father's gun and they go to the lake. They shoot a bird but later they discover that it's a bird of love. They become very sad and they bury the crane. The message in this story is that young boys must be patient if they want to be men.
