ANTONIO MEUCCI and the ELECTROPHONE

In 1834 Meucci constructed a kind of acoustic telephone as a way to communicate between the stage and control room at the theatre Teatro della Pergola in Florence. This telephone is constructed on the model of pipe-telephones on ships and is still working.

Antonio Meucci was an Italian inventor who developed a form of a voice communication apparatus in 1857.
He studied chemical and machanical engineering at the Florence Academy of Fiem Arts and later worked at the teatro della Pergola in Florence as a stage technician, assisting Artemio Canovetti.
Antonio Meucci was the real inventor of the telephone. However, some scholars outside of Italy do not recognize the claims that Meucci's device had any bearing on the development of the telephone.

A calculator is a device for performing mathematical calculations, distinguished from a computer by having a limited problem solving ability and an interface optimized for interactive calculation rather than programming.
Modern electronic calculators are generally small, digital, (often pocket-sized) and usually inexpensive.

The first calculators were abacus and were often constructed as a wooden frame with beads sliding on wires. Abacuses were in use centuries before the adoption of the written Arabic Numerals system and are still used by some merchants, fishermen and clerks in China and elsewhere.

EDDIE MARTIN and the AEROPLANE

A fixed-wing aircraft is a heavier-than-air craft whose lift is generated not by wing motion relative to the aircraft, but by forward motion through the air. The term is used to distinguish from rotary-wing aircraft or ornithopters, where the movement of the wing surfaces relative to the aircraft generates lift. In the United States and Canada, the term airplane is used; in the rest of the English-speaking countries (including Ireland and Commonwealth nations), the term aeroplane is more common. These terms refer to any fixed wing aircraft powered by propellers or jet engines. The word derives from the Greek αέρας (aéras-) ("air") and -plane. The spelling "aeroplane" is the older of the two, dating back to the mid-late 19th century. Some fixed-wing aircraft may be remotely or robot controlled.
Leonardo de Vinci did the first plane and the first people that fly with a plane were Jean- François Pilâtre de Rocier and François Laurent D'Arlandes.
