Alison taught us that Halloween is a very popular tradition in England.
She told us that when she was young she celebrated it every year with
her friends. First she played games in the playground at school and then
she went knocking doors at night. She explained that she liked to wear costumes, specially witch costume, and they always got a bag to put all
the candies that the people gave them scared of the treat. They always
got home with a lot of candies.
The tradition in Alison's house was to
do toffee apples and pancakes. She loved that! Now she doesn't celebrate
Halloween but she likes to make costumes to the children and she never
forget to buy Halloween candies to give them.

things.

I didn't know that English people don't throw eggs to other houses and I learnt to do the Trick or Treat.
I don't celebrate Halloween because it
isn't traditional in Catalonia, but I like to see people with their
costumes, this makes me to feel happy.

dress
up as bats, skeletons and pumpkins, but also dress up as ghosts,
witches, zombies, mummies and monsters. When children put on their
Halloween costumes they go from house to house saying trick or treat and
people in the house are scared of their dresses and give them candies.
There
are traditional Halloween games: One is that we fill a bowl of water
with apples inside, children have to grab the apples with his mouth
without using their hands .
The other game is that apples are hung on a string and children have to grab them with their without using their hands.

When Alison was little she loves Halloween. In America pumpkin is the
symbol of Halloween. She doesn't decorate her house for Halloween, but
when her children were young she cooked Halloween cookies. In England
don't throw eggs only bad boys do this.

Halloween is an important celebration in England but isn't
important in Catalonia. When Alison was a child she played with her friends Halloween games at the playground. Halloween is fun because children go out the school and go to their houses and prepare their fancy dresses and at night go to other houses because people give candies to them.

In England, children celebrate Halloween on 31st October. Alison doesn't
celebrate Halloween but she always prepares a bowl of sweets for
children because they come to her house for trick or treat.
In England, there is a tradition to eat toffee apples. All children usually wear costumes because they like to scare adults.
I think Halloween is wery good tradition but we don't have Halloween in Spain. It's a pity.
