ANTONI GAUDÍ

Antoni Gaudí i Cornet (1852-1926) is the most popular architect in
history. His revolution of architecture and the visual arts laid the
foundations of the current and future art.

Gaudí was an architect with an innate sense of geometry and volume, as well as a great imaginative ability that allowed him to mentally project the majority of his works before Sagrada Família. In fact, rarely performed detailed plans of his works; preferred to recreate on three-dimensional scale models, moulding all details as the devising going mentally. At other times, he was winging, instructing his advisers on what they had to do.

Antoni Gaudí was born in 1852 in Riudoms or in Reus, to the industrial boilermaker Francesc Gaudí i Serra (1813–1906) and Antònia Cornet i Bertran (1819–1876). He was the youngest of five children, of whom three survived to adulthood: Rosa (1844–1879), Francesc (1851–1876) and Antoni. Gaudí's family originated in the Auvergne region in southern France. One of his ancestors, Joan Gaudí, a hawker, moved to Catalonia in the 17th century; possible origins of Gaudí's family name include Gaudy or Gaudin.

La pedrera is a popular building in Barcelona built by Antoni Gaudí between 1906 and 1910.
Like la Sagrada Família and the other works of Gaudí is inspired by the nature. About 1 million of people visit it every year.

CASA BATLLÓ

''Casa Batllo'' is a famous work of Gaudi. It's located at number 43 Paseo de Gracia Barcelona, belongs to its naturalistic stage inspired by the organic forms of nature. Gaudi was a very famous Spanish artist,  Gaudi has a great freedom creative and imaginative, for this reasons the works of Gaudi are very famous.For the ''Casa Batllo'' stand out the colours and shapes.
