Reflections on my 2nd ESO English Portfolio

In this essay I explain the best works in 2nd ESO. The works are: My Readings: Dracula, Multicultural London Food, Reading Circles of Dracula, Skills Test term 3 and The Mystery of the Well.
The first work is My Readings: Dracula. I have chosen this work because is a good example for my level of English. The second work is Multicultural London Food. In this Listening I worked so much. The third work is Reading Circles: Dracula but I think that the explanations are the same that the first work but speaking. The fourth work is Skills Test 3rd term, I don't have much to explain because it's an exam, but it has a good mark. The last work is the Mystery of the Well than is a writing that my grandparents explained to me.
The conclusion: English is the class where we work more and we learn very much.

Gerard Castañón, 2nd B

I chose 3 sheets. The three sheets are Skills Test 3rd Term, My Readings of the book Dracula and the listening Describing a Dream.
In the Skills Test of the 3rd term my mark is 6,9 because the reading, listening, writing and the speaking are good.
In My Readings of Dracula the description of the character and the plot are very very good with 8,5 in the mark, Mrs. Reichardt said:"It's the best of the class".
In the listening Describing a Dream the vocabulary was very easy for me and the mark in 5/6.
Well... The year was very well and the classes were funny. It was better than the last year because I understood more words of English.

NURIA'S VALLEY

This year, in 2nd ESO we are going to go to Nuria's Valley. It is a beautiful valley in Catalonia. We have to wait only a week. It's exciting!
The first day we are going to take the bus at 8 am in front of our school and we are going to arrive at 10:30 am to Nuria's Valley. At 11:10 am we are going to take the zip train to go to the valley. After, when we arrive, we are going to the hostel. Its name is “Pic de l'Àliga”. After lunch we are going to walk on the mountains. So, I'm going to put good trainers to walk in the suitcase. At night we are going to do an astronomy workshop. I think that it will be very fun!
The next day we are going to Queralbs. It is on the mountains and we have to go walking. This night we are going to dance with music!
The last day we are going to pack all the things in the suitcase because in the afternoon we are going to return to Blanes.
Now, I'm waiting for the next Monday 23rd May. I think that it will be a fantastic school trip!

Claudia Allmang, 2nd B

We are going to leave at 8 from S'Agulla, and we will arrive at 10:30 at Rives, to eat.
At 11:10 we will catch zip train, and arrive at 11:45, we will stay and eat. At 3:30, we're going to do a workshop 'Descoberta de l'Entorn', that it is for work 2h. At 18h, we're going to walk till the hostel and we're going to leave things in the rooms, and give us time to have a shower. At night we're going to do a small workshop about astronomy, then I will go to sleep.
On 24th May, we will get up, then we'll walk to Queralbs with teachers. When we get there, we'll eat, and at 4 we are going to do activities about the reader. At 18h we'll arrive and eat. Later we'll do an environment workshop, eat and at 15:45 we will take the cog railway at 4:30 to Ribes, at 16:45 we will catch the bus to go to Blanes, and we'll arrive at 7h.

Notting Hill Carnival

The Notting Hill is a celebration in London. It is the largest in Europe. The people get dressed
funny and sexy costumes and there is so loudly music.

In the pictures the people is dressed with exotic clothes. In ones of them, there is a man with a doll onto him and a woman dressed into a giant plant. I would like to go to this carnival.

Facundo Cacace, 2nd B

Important to Caribbean festival arts, like the Luton Carnival, are the ancient African traditions of parading and moving in circles through villages in costumes and masks. Circling villages was believed to bring good fortune, to heal problems, and chill out angry relatives who had died and passed into the next world. Carnival traditions also borrow from the African tradition of putting together natural objects.

Claudia Allmang, 2nd B

The Notting Hill Carnival is in London, it's a most vibrant celebration of diversity, colour and sound. The Carnival is celebrated on 29th and 30th of August. The girls wear costumes and dance, people play the drums, also there are marionettes... People have fun. I'd like to be in this carnival because I like the costumes.

Brian Caparrós, 2nd B

The London Nothing Hill is an annual event which takes places during the bank holiday at the end of August. Nothing Hill carnival has been held on the streets of Nothing Hill. The Caribbean community lead the event. There is a snake with decorations in the floats. The people see the floats and is funny. The characters are dancing. They dress with decorations and swimsuits. Yes, people is having fun. I usually go to the Blanes carnival on sports centre and I'd like going to the Nothing Hill carnival.
