SPORTS

FOOTBALL

My favourite sport is football. Football is a popular sport. The most famous teams in Spain are Real Madrid and F.C.Barcelona. In football there are two teams with eleven players in each team. The objective in this sport is kicking the ball and scoring a goal. You need the following equipment: football boots, t-shirt, shorts and leg pads.

My favourite football player is Lionel Messi. Lionel Messi is an Argentinian football player whose team is F.C.Barcelona. He is 24 years old. He runs very fast and he won three golden balls. He has got a growth problem, like my brother.

My passion is football. The first time that I saw a football match I was 10 months old. My favourite team in the world is F.C.Barcelona because it is the best team in the world, like its coach.

Laia Arias, 1st B

TENNIS

Tennis is my favourite sport. I practice 3 hours a week. My best friend Laura likes, too. She practice with me. First we must do three laps at the track, then we must move the arms and finally we must go walking. By this way we can start playing. Every Saturday I play a match. I won the last !! I like more sports, for example: skiing, basketball... I think tennis is a little psychological sport.

To play tennis you must hit a ball with a racket. It is an alone game and we play outdoors. The points start with 15, then 30, next 40 and finally you have a point !!

When you have 6 points you win the match. You can play in different courts: field, pavement, ground... You mustn't hit the ball when latch twice. A tennis match hasn't a fixed time to finish.

Rafa Nadal is a Spanish professional tennis player. He was born on 3rd June of 1986 in Mallorca. He has a younger sister, Maria Isabel. Rafa started playing tennis only with 5 years old. This player wins a lot of cups. He has got long brown wavy hair and he is a little short.

Berta Arcos, 1st D

FEMALE FOOTBALL

Football is a very typical sport in Spain. There are a lot of rules, but when you learn these rules, the sport is easy. There are eleven players in each team with the three referees, one on the right of the ground, other on left of the ground and the third referee in the ground to look the game inside.

When does a small foul, the referee stops the match and the ball is for the opposing team, when the foul is important, the referee takes a yellow target, when the foul is caution for the other player, the referee takes a red target and the player goes out of the ground.

The winner team is that does more goals, there is one ruler: when the attacker is in the opposite ground, and the attacker is more advanced than the defences, there are out game and it is another foul.

The female football isn't important for the people, when the girls play football, the men say that football is a sport for men, I can't understand this sentence!

I look up Vero Boquete, it is the best female footballer, She has played in RCDE, and others. She is the finalist of the Women's Professional Soccer, in the Super league Spanish with RCDE, in W-League with Buffalo Flash, in the Queen's Cup with RCDE and in European Championship Women sub-19 of the UEFA with the Spanish National Women's Soccer.

I choose female football, because I love it and I practice this sport every week on Wednesdays and Fridays and the match of weekend. Football is funny, I like it because I meet very important people on my life and I do sport, it is very important for my health. I play on Club Deportiu Blanes.

Judith Ascanio, 1st A

BASKETBALL

Five players play basketball. First the referee throw the ball and the players jump to catch the ball. Then the players must throw the ball in the basket. The players wear one t-shirt and shorts and sneakers. They musn't touch the ball with the foot. They musn't run without to bounce. Every basket are two points.

My favourite famous player is Juan Carlos Navarro. I saw Juan Carlos Navarro once. His nickname is “La bomba”. Navarro started playing for FCBarcelona when he was teenager. With Barcelona, Navarro won the ACB championship 5 times. He scored 27 points during the bronze medal game against Germany.

I played basketball when I was six years old but I had not the strength to come up to the basket with the ball. My brother plays basketball and I look at my brother every Saturday. My family and me sometimes go to play basketball in the park.

Mireia Herrero, 1st A

FOOTBALL

In this sport there are 11 players en each team. Each part has 45 minutes, in total 90 minutes. To win each team has to more goals. You win 3 points, you drew, win 1 point, you lost win 0 points. In football you must with the feet, bur the porter can each the ball with the hands.
The player is Carles Puyol, he is the best defence in the world. He's 33 years old. He plays in Football Club Barcelona team, he's from Catalonia (Spain). When he was young he was playing in the team in his town,, this name is La Pobla de Segur F.C. too, it is also where he lived La Pobla de Segut (Lleida). Now he lives in Hospitalet (Barcelona).
I love football, it is my favourite sport. My favourite team is Football Club Barcelona, and my favourite player is Carles Puyol. I play every Saturdays and Sundays, and I sometimes play football on Thursday. I like football but I don't play really well in this sport.

ARTISTIC SKATING

I choose artistic skating. Artistic skating is a very beautiful sport because the skaters dance with the roller blades and its good-looking.

Like the other sports, the artistic skating has rules: like you can’t fall down or take away points. There are two types of artistic skating: the ice artistic skating and the normal are.

Nancy Karrigan was born in Woburn Massachussets of her parents Daniel and Brenda. She has two older brothers. She began artistic skating at age of six in Stoneham. Her brother played hockey but it wasn’t an appropriate sport for girls.

It is a beautiful sport for me, because it combines dancing and skating.I like the shows that sometimes are in pairs and I like the clothes like the elegant dresses.I always watch it on television. I thing skating is difficult thing because jumpings and turnings. I never can’t do it.

AKINYEMI, Rowena: Love or Money? Oxford Bookworms Library. Oxford University Press. Oxford, 1981. 841-A1

First, in the Clarckson's house Jackie lives with her mother, Molly. Albert, her uncle; Roger, her brother; and Diane, her sister, visited the house, and all the family argued about their mother's money. The next morning Molly died, the police researched about who killed the mother. All the family wanted to kill the mother because she killed his father, she doesn't want to give the money and she doesn't love them. Her daughter Jackie, killed Molly, because she loves Tom, the gardener, but her mother do not want Tom in her family. When Jackie killed this, she goes to the prison and Roger, Diane and Albert are rich.

This book is very interesting and mysterious, because nobody knows who is the murderer, and explains one important thing: the love, and when someone kill for the all impossible love.
I recommend this book to the people who likes books about mystery and tragedy, because this book is about this.
