THE LITTLE HUNTERS AT THE LAKE
FURR, Mark: Stories for Reading Circles. Bookworms Club BRONZE. Oxford University Press, 2007
The story is about a group of boys that want to be hunters. Hikmet secretly borrows his father's big hunting gun and he and his friends go down to the lake. They shoot a crane bird which is a symbol of love.
They can't eat the bird so they bury it near the lake.
When it is Spring they go back to the crane's grave and find its partner dead on the grave. Hunters never shoot crane birds.
I like this book because I like birds and my uncle is hunter. He tells me about birds, and their way of life.

Four friends went hunting. They didn't know a lot of things about birds and hunting. Hikmet has a gun. His father's gun. They shoot a bird and they went to Ali for he explain how can they cook it. But Ali explain this bird is a crane. This birds are a "symbol of love". The children are sad because they shot the bird. Then they hide the bird under the snow. In a hole. One day a crane stop in the window of a boy with a snowdrop. And the children think that the crane forgive they.

SISTER LOVE
FURR, Mark: Stories for Reading Circles. Bookworms Club BRONZE. Oxford University Press, 2007
ESCOTT, John: Sister Love
The story is about two opposite sisters. They lived with their father. When Marcia ( a sister), has gota boyfriend (Howard), Karin (the second sister) stole her boyfriend, but Marcia didn't know it. When Marcia discovered the Karen's relation, Marcia pushed karen, and she slipped and fell down the wall, and hit in the ground, because in her hands had suntan oil ( and did she die?)
I like the story because when it finishes, Karen fell down. Also I like the story because in the class I read the dialogue of Karen, and it was funny.

OMEGA FILE 349. LONDON, ENGLAND
FURR, Mark: Stories for Reading Circles. Bookworms Club BRONZE. Oxford University Press, 2007
BASSET, Jennifer: Omega File 349. London, England.
The book has a difficult vocabulary and the dictionary is necessary for the reading comprehension.

I like the story because it is a mystery story, and I like them. Also I liked it because I like the TVsoap operas of the FBI, and the EDI is like the FBI in Europe.

BASSET, Jennifer: Omega File 349. London, England.
Hawker and Jude are secrets agents for the E.D.I. in London, England.
There are strange secrets in the omega file and Johnny Cook has the story: the Tyler drug company wanted the young people of the secrets, and using them for tests and Johnny Cook wants to give to a news paper.
Johnny Cook died in the river Thames and the file is closed.

SAINT GEORGE PATRON SAINT
It's traditional to celebrate Sant Jordi in Catalonia, and Saint George is also celebrated in England and in Georgia. In IES S'Agulla we celebrate Sant Jordi. In S'Agulla there is a contest with poems and stories of Sant Jordi. The languages of the contest are English, Spanish, French and Catalan. The books day is on 23rd April.
Alicia Carrasco, 1st C
In Catalonia, we have a Patron Saint, he is Saint George. In England is Saint George, too. The
The history comes from a war between the Christian religion and the old religions in Rome. The Christian symbol was Saint George and the old religions symbol was the dragon. In the war, the Christians killed the old religions. Saint George is from Turkey.
In London there are jugglers and famous people in the street this day.
In Catalonia there are many stalls in the streets on 23rd April. The boys give roses to the girls and the girls give books to the boys. In the primary school we did paintings in Sant Jordi’s Contest at weekend.
Facundo Cacace, 1st B

Saint George is on day 23 April. In Britain is no popular, it's a normal day, but in Catalonia men give roses and girls give books. Blanes Patron Saint is Anna, it is celebrated on 26 th July.
Sofia Dellanave, 1st B

In Catalonia, England and Georgia, Saint George is the Patron Saint. This is celebrated on 23rd in April. But in England don't celebrate this day, in Catalonia celebrates. In Catalonia the women give a book to men, because it's the book's day, and the men give a red rose to women, because in the legend the blood of dragon transformed in a red rose. In London celebrate different activities in the street. I like when in the school celebrate a literaty contest. Saint George was from Turkey.
Noelia González, 1st A
In England doesn't celebrate Saint George Day but here yes. But Saint George day also is the Patron Saint in Georgia. In England is not holiday on 23rd April. But Saint George isn't from England or from Catalonia, he is from Turkey. Saint George legend is a Christian Legend. In Catalonia the women give a book to her partner and the men give a rose to his partner. But the tradition of give a book is because on 23rd April William Shakespeare and Miguel de Cervantes died.
