Welcome to Britain, 1 Chapters 1, 2 and 3

This Thursday I watched a video that is about one group that they do a project for a few people. This project is about them and how they live in Britain.

The other day we watched a video in the library. This video is about a group of kids who have to do a project.And finally they make the project recording at home showing the parts of the house.

Welcome to Britain is a film with 9 chapters. In the first chapter, Becky, Josh, Bradley, Sam and Charlotte are doing a project for teenagers from Sweden.

In the second chapter Josh and Bradley go to the airport and talk about the trains and the underground.

Finally, in the third chapter, Becky and Bradley talk about their houses and family.

This video is about some students doing a project about London and how they live. Josh, Sam, Bradley, Becky and Charlotte are from Horn Park School and their teacher is Miss Reza. 

They talk about how to go to London. For this, they are at Stansed airport, but it's not the only one, there are three more airports in London.
Becky and Bradley are showing their houses. Becky lives in a house and Bradley lives in a flat.

Josh, Sam, Bradley, Becky and Charlotte are making a project for a school website about their lives and their homes. They are from Horn Park School. Their teacher is Miss Reza. First they went to the airport in London. there are 4 airports. Finally they show Becky's house and Bradley's flat.

They do a video introducing themselves and then go to the Stansted Airport to show them how to go to their school, the Horn Park School. They can go by buses, taxis, train or the Tube. 

After Bradley and Becky show their homes, Becky's house and Bradley's flat.

Reflections about my First Term

Judith Ascanio, 2nd A:

I think that this term and the last year are similar for me: I do all the homework and I do wrongs in reading and listening. Also, I think that this year the irregular verbs are easier because the last year we practised them and I know the most of the verbs.
I like doing homework in the workbook, it is better than to use sheets. I improve in the Skills Test and in the Language Tests.

Brian Veiga, 2nd B:

I must improve my behaviour and study for skills tests and language tests to improve my English marks.
I improved my vocabulary, grammar and other important things.

Nawab Khan, 2nd B: 

My 1st term was very good but my marks were not very good , they were 5 because my mistakes and because I didn't do good presentation, I didn't study for exams and I didn't  read all the short stories. But my 1st term was good because I did my homework , the writings, listenings and biography. I  can improve in English. 


Laia Arias, 2nd B:

This term I was very pleased with my progress. At the beginning I was a little bit anxious. My average marks had improved compared to last year.

Now, I feel more comfortable with tenses. I also feel more comfortable with the difference between the simple and continuous.

I want to practise more Speaking and Listening. All in all, I feel very positive.

The 1st term was funny, I studied a little.My 1st term was very well because English is a nice subject.

I think this term was good, but I started better last year. 

This year the test was better than the last year, this year the Skill test was 8,3 and last year was 6,4.
In the second term I'm going to improve.


Jade Ly Lam, 2nd D:

On my first term I improved my English very much. I learned more members of the family and routines and activities. Now, it's easier to do writings.
I have an Excellent because I studied for the tests and I did my homework.
I have to improve listening ans speaking. For this reason, I must talk more in English and listen to English songs. 

 

Rocío Bueno, 2nd D:

I think this term was good because I learned new things. Also I had better marks in the yellow sheets. This term we did only one speaking and I want to do more in the 2nd term. I had good mark in the language tests and in the skills tests. I think in the 2nd term I'm going to to do it well, too.  

Berta Arcos, 2nd D:

This term we worked 3 units. I think they weren't very difficult. But I will improve. The most important for me is the reading. I will read the questions carefully. The less important for me is the listening but I must improve checking my answers when we listen to the 3rd time.
I will not change the Portfolio to Notebook. I will use the Portfolio, because I think is better to have the sheets clearly.
For the 2nd Skills test I will study more reading and speaking to improve my mark.  


Ricardo Paredes, 2nd D:

In the 1^st term I was very good because I did a lot of the homework. When the 1^st English term finished, I did the language test very well. In the 2^nd term I will be hard-working.

  

Emi Rodríguez, 2nd B:

I like this 1st term of 2nd Eso because I learned mote things that the first year. In this term I learned to do sentences in English. In the first Eso I knew few verbs and words.

In my life the English is very important because my second brother talks English and my sister-in-law, too.
  

Núria Mora, 2nd B:

I learned very much, for example: the verbs in the past, the vocabulary of the family, etc. I think now I read and do dictations better. I like the English.
In 1st term I learned something more than last year. I like working with the Portfolio at the time of study because I have everything tidily.  

Raúl Luque, 2nd C:

In the first term I went well, but in the second I will get more good marks in speaking and writing, that I have done not very well.  

Marc Frigola, 2nd C:

My first term was very good, good marks, my best marks in 2nd ESO. I'm going to improve my readings and listenings.

In this term I didn't study enough, and my marks were regular. But I'll try striving more in second term.

In 1st term I got poor marks, I'm going to improve in 2nd term because I want to do French, too. My objective is to improve and participate more.

I am sad. I didn't make an effort very much. The next term I'm going to make an effort. I like English, but it's very difficult for me.

I'm going to work hard this term I will give everything to get a notable  and learn more. Because even going to English lessons, it is difficult for me. But I can improve my English.

I have to study very much. I have to improve my attitude and I have to do homework and I have to participate.

In my 1st term, I studied very little and my mark is not enough for me. In 2nd term I'm going to study more than in 1st term and my mark will grow.   

Noelia Gallego, 2nd C:

My reflection on my 1st term is bad.After school I do English classes, I'm  checking 1st because last year I had bad marks. In the lessons of English I do homework and read texts  and practise  listenning, irregulars verbs and study vocabulary and I have to study for the second term.

Adri Braun, 2nd C:

I have to do more homework. I'm going to study more for the exams.  

Pau Guirao, 2nd C:

This term I improved my scores and I have a notable. I improved my writings but I want to practise reading. My tests are very good and I have my best skills test, my score is a 8´9. I'm very happy for the exams and I prepared very good the project and I have a good mark. Finally I'm happy and I go to study very much.
 
  

 

BIOGRAPHIES

NATALIE WOOD

The real name of Natalie Wood was Natalia Nikolaevna Zacharenco. She was born in San Francisco on 20^th July 1938 and she died in Los Angeles on 29^th November 1981.

In 1943 Natalie did her first film with five years. The film, '' Happy Land '' , was her début film. Her mum wanted that Natalie was an actress. When she was teenager, she began in television from the years 1953 to 1954.

She had two marriages. The first was Robert Wagner. With him she had got a child. In 1962 Natalie Wood and Robert Wagner got divorced. Then Natalie got married with Richard Gregson. They had a daughter, Natasha Grehson. In 1971 they got divorced. Natalie died in the sea when she fell in a boat.

I choose Natalie because I saw one programme on the TV that it explained the life of Natalie and I love it.

Mireia Herrero, 2nd B

JOHN LENNON
  He was born on 9^th of October in 1940, in Liverpool. He was an English musician and a song writer. He was famous because he was a member of the Beatles. His mother bought him his first guitar in 1956. He lived in Liverpool when he was a teenager with his aunt and uncle. He was accepted into the Liverpool collage of Art. In 1958, when Lennon was 17 years old, his mother walking at home, was struck by a car and she was dead.

On 23^rd August in 1962 he got married with Cynthia. After that they had a son, Julian. Next they got divorced. Then he got married in 1969 with Yoko Ono and they had a son , Sean. Lennon left The Beatles in September 1969 and he didn't inform the media and he moved to New York in 1971. In 1971 was published his album “Imagine”.

He died on 8^th December in 1980 because a man, Mark David Chapman shot Lennon in the back four times. Lennon was taken to the emergency room of the Roosvelt Hospital and was dead at 11:07. 
In 2008 Rolling Stone Magazine classified him to fifth greatest singer. In 2012 Lennon's sold in the United States 14 millions of units. Finally he was inducted into the songwriter Hall Fame in 1987 and into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994.

MICHAEL JACKSON

Michael Jackson made history. He was born in USA. He had three brothers and one sister. The group Jackson Five. 

He was born in 1958 and died with 54 years old in 2009. Michael Jackson was the king of music, and was king of pop with Thriller. Michael Jackson is in the book of Guinness world record for his popular culture. 

Michael Jackson had three children, their names are Prince Michael Joseph, Paris Michael Katherine and Blanket. 

Michael Jackson was singer, musician, composer, arranger, dancer, choreographer and actor.

In June of 2009, Jackson died in his bed at his rented mansion at 100 North Sandalwood.
I chose Michael Jackson because is a very important figure in the history of pop.

TUPAC SHAKUR

Tupac Shakur was an American rapper from Oakland. His birth name was Lesane Parish Crooks but he was called as 2pac or Makaveli. He was born on 16^th June of 1971 in New York.

He was working from 1988 until 1996. In these years he became the rapper with the most sold CDs, it was because people started to call him ''the king of hip-hop''.

He was famous being a rapper but he was also an actor, poet, screen writer, and writer. He was associated with famous rappers like Outlawz, Snoop Dogg, Dr Dre and Nate Dogg. The themes of most of Tupac's songs were violence, racism, social problems, and conflicts with other rappers.

Rolling Stone Magazine named him the 86^th Greatest Artist of All Time.

On 7^th September, he was shot four times in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was taken to the Southern Nevada University Medical Centre, where he died six days later, on 13^th September 1996, he was 25 years old.

In honor of Tupac, they did a Hologram concert. It was with Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg. It was amazing, everything looked like real. I wish to be there. The video has more than 16 million views in YouTube.

I love Tupac, he is one of my favourite rappers. Every song tells something about him, his past or about things that happened in the world. He did more than 50 dongs but my favourite is Life Goes On.

ANTONIO PUERTA

My death person is Antonio Puerta, he was footballer. He played in Sevilla F.C. He was born in Nervión Neighbourhood on 26^th of November 1984 and, he died on 28^th in August 2007 his position was left side.

He debuted in Sevilla F.C. Versus Málaga, the score was 0-1. Puerta had a nickname and was “LA ZURDA DEL DIAMANTE”.

Puerta had a different honours:*UEFA Super cup - 2006/07 *UEFA Cup- 2005/06 , 2006/07 *SPANISH Cup- 2006/07

*SPANISH Super cup – 2006/07

On 27^th of August of 2007 Sevilla F.C. Played versus Getafe Club de Fútbol. Puerta in 28 minute suffered 5 fainting but, he didn't die there but in the dress room he suffered 5 faints. Puerta was a good footballer and in half time Puerta lost the conscient, was admitted in “HOSPITAL UNIVERSITARIO VIRGEN DEL ROCIO” there Puerta died and his burial was in the anteroom in Sanchéz Pizjuán stadium.

In August 2008 Roberto Echevarría created Antonio Puerta's Cup. First Antonio Puerta's Cup Sevilla F.C. Played versus Málaga, in the match Sevilla F.C. Won 2-0 in Sánchez Pizjuán stadium.
